The Achaeans follow up

Today, before a week off next week due to the Edinburgh show (Claymore), we had another game of Midgard again using my Achaeans and Trojans, but this time on Lawrences lovely leather terrain!!!!

We decided to try Scenario 3 from the book, 'None shall Pass'.

I got to run the Trojans again, defending a ridgeline with a reduced force against Phil and Lawrence with the Greeks again (It was a 6 turn game with my reserves arriving on turn 4)...

My left was held by 2 units of Chariots supported by archers.

My centre was Trojan Spears again supported by archers.
My right was two more Trojan spears (OK, one is Dardanian!) with archers in the wood to their right.
Off board I had my Lycians and Thracians, and an additional Chariot unit, under Sarpedon.
Lawrence opposite, had the majority of the Achaean infantry and Chariotry, including Achilles with his vaunted Myrmidons.
In the centre they had archers with the rest of the Achaean Spearmen.
Their right, as they advanced was a unit of Chariots and Archers.
I sent my Archers forward hoping to weaken and slow the Greeks.
Their initial long range shots drove one unit back.
My right wing Archers moved right to threaten the Achaean left as much as they could!!!
Achilles with Four (!) 'Mighty Deeds' had no trouble getting his force advancing in an organised line!
Just for fun, I sent Paris, Prince of Troy forward on the left to see if his 'Legendary Missile' ability could upset the Greeks, I soon learned the Greek archers were a bit better! - I needed luck, and got none! I let my Infantry archers evade from the advancing Greek battle line...
...one unit failed to evade and got charged by two Spear units, this was not going to end well!!! However one of Lawrences Spear units charged two of mine...
The Myrmidons charged my Dardanians on the right.
Agamemnon, the Greek Commander in Chief, brought the centre Chariots in support of their right.
In the centre, my Archers disappeared - Lawrences dice were so good my supporting Spearmen took two Stamina loss as well - a disaster!
The Myrmidons also rolled well and beat my Dardanians badly.
Achilles led one of the Myrmidons and that unit routed my Spearmen...I had to lose more Rep to get Aeneas out of the way of Achilles spear!
On my weak left, Paris charged the Greek Chariots and beat them!
Hectors Spearmen had destroyed the lone Achaean Spear unit.
Despite Aeneas joining the other Dardanian unit, they continued to be beaten back by Myrmidons!
Things were not looking well!!!
My Chariot success on the left had left my flank open to the Greek archers.
Indeed, they charged in to rescue their noble friends!
Hector was charged by another Achaean spear unit.
My Reinforcements finally arrived, but against Achilles!
On my left, my Chariot battle was a draw, due to those cursed archers!
At least the Greek Chariotry was destroyed! Unfortunately my Archer unit in the centre failed to evade, even with extra tries provided by Hector!!!
The Archers died, but at least damaged the opposing Spearmen!
The massed Myrmidons swept away the last of the Dardanians, and again Aeneas had to break off.
In the centre, my Spear unit was smashed by Odysseus!
In desperation, Sarpedon charged in with a unit of Lycians, and again Lawrence's dice were good while mine failed!
My left was no more!
I was out of Reputation and hence lost majorly!
The Achaeans still had 10 Rep!
Ah well, back to Troy to lick my wounds!!!!
