Today we returned for a game of Dead Man's Hand (Redux) - its been a while and we played slowly checking rules. We played with too large forces and too large a table, we realised, but still enjoyed the game!
Lawrence brought his lovely cloth and some crates, I, the first time out for my small town!
The figures are mine, Phil's, and Lawrences.
The town at game start.
...and from the bad guys side!
A vulture's overview.
After the first move my men on the left were falling behind, as Rhod's swarmed down the street.
Lawrence was being more circumspect as he approached my men.
Phil was aggressively approaching Rhod.
Rhod's men were soon in a firefight with them.
Phil's rifle armed Mexican Desperado was holding his own.
I soon saw I was not going to be any help against Phil, so started feeding my men down the left.
The civilians seemed untroubled at this stage.
Rhod's men started getting lucky...
...they nailed the Desperado!
My Riflemen on the roof were sniping at whatever they could see.
I was having little luck at that range.
Phil sent two men to attack Rhod
Despite a stumble, I could do nothing to prevent more Mexicans moving forward in their support.
My shotgun armed deputies now advanced, firing.
I shot (luckily) one of Lawrence's men shooting from behind two civilians!
Rhod had got a rifleman into a shop...
One of Lawrence's men on the corral was killed quickly! - I got another who was outflanking me (Pic was blurred - sorry)
My smart deputy took out another outlaw, but he got a return shot on my man.
The Mexicans were still having a hard fight with Rhod.
Numbers were beginning to tell though...
In desperation, Phil sent Dirty Sanchez who knifed Rhod's tof!
At this point we had to call it a day...
I was sending my spare pistol armed deputies to help Rhod.
But both Lawrence and Phil were making their way off table.
I had (for once) a great day of dice when shooting, I got three 20's and a 19 from 7 rolls on a D20!!! - Rhod was quite lucky too. Poor Lawrence had an awful day, he hit nothing all day!
